Uganda 2019

Uganda 2019

From April 29 to May 14, 2019 I again had the opportunity to travel with Help Our World One on One. This time I only went to Uganda to help do an art project at the Starfish Camp. The trip ended with a wonderful safari at Murchison Falls. To follow along, check out my Track My Tour at https://trackmytour.com/QFxkX

The Kumano Kodo

The Kumano Kodo

In 2004, two UNESCO World Heritage trails, the Camino de Santiago and the Kumano Kodo signed a “Sister Road” agreement and have been doing some joint marketing.  They have a program that if you walk both trails you can get a special “Dual Pilgrim” designation– all you have to do is document your journey and bring your certified credential from the other trail. I’ll be traveling with a group from the Colorado Mountain Club.  Here is the trip overview from their website….

My Gear – Kumono Kodo

My Gear – Kumono Kodo

Three weeks in Japan should be easier to pack for than 6 weeks in Spain but it turns out to be very similar because I will basically be doing the same thing just for a shorter amount of time.  Overall I found the process a lot easier this time around because I’m now “experienced” (LOL!) I’m opting to bring one of Wally’s ultralight backpacks this time because it is a little smaller than the one I used in Spain and I’m planning…
