From April 29 to May 14, 2019 I again had the opportunity to travel with Help Our World One on One. This time I only went to Uganda to help do an art project at the Starfish Camp. The Scallop Shell is the traditional symbol of a pilgrim on the Way of St James.  The Colorado Front Range Chapter of American Pilgrims on the Camino held a Scallop Shell Ceremony for about 60 people who are planning to do their first Camino this year. What to bring for a 40-day walk across Spain?  Excellent question… All the guide books emphasize not bringing too much stuff.  The basic guideline is no more than 10% of your body weight — my goal was to stay at, or below 20 lbs with water (which weighs 2.2 lbs per liter).
